EHS Yearbook Staff Earns National Award!

We are thrilled to let you know that this year’s yearbook has won the National Yearbook Program of Excellence Award. This award is only given to 250 programs throughout the country and it is difficult to earn. To qualify, the following categories need to be met:

1.       A Meaningful Book for All Students

·         More than 50% of students covered in the book three times or more.

·         A distribution event planned

2.       A Book in Every Student’s Hands

·         70% of students need to get a book or have a 5% increase over last year’s buy rate.

·         Reach home to parents at least three times with ordering information. 

3.       A Hassle-Free Experience

·         Cover and endsheets submitted by November 1st for spring-delivery schools.

·         Meet all scheduled page deadlines.

 To honor your staff, Jostens will be provide a plaque and a banner for you to display at your school. We will also be planning a celebration for your staff.

Eaton & Benjamin Eaton Elementaries Recognized as Healthy School Champions!

The 2012 Healthy School Champions received awards based on their completion of the Healthy School Champions’ Score Card, a voluntary, online self-assessment tool designed to measure best practices in the eight Coordinated School Health components: health education, physical education, health services, nutrition services, counseling/psychological services, a healthy safe environment, parent and community involvement and staff wellness.

Thanks to an anonymous donation we are able to acknowledge teachers and classified employees who are passionate about Eaton Schools and give in and out of the classroom to inspire students to achieve more. Nominations due May 15.

Galeton Elementary Earns Awards

Eaton School District is proud to announce that Galeton Elementary has been selected to receive two awards in recognition of high growth on state assessments. The Governor's Distinguished Improvement Award is awarded to the schools in the state with the highest rate of student longitudinal growth on state assessments. Galeton has also been selected along with only 11 other schools in the state as a Highly Effective Title I School
