How to Enroll A Student

District Resident Students 



Want to make sure you live in Eaton District?

Parents of students who reside within the boundaries of Eaton School District must bring the following to the District Administration Office to obtain a registration packet:
  • proof of residency (warranty deed, bill of sale, settlement statement from closing, signed contract with closing date, or current signed rental agreement)
  • birth certificate
  • most recent immunization record 

 Non-Resident Students 



Students who do not reside within the boundaries of Eaton School District are welcome to apply to attend Eaton schools as a non-resident student on a space-available basis in accordance with Colorado law.
Eaton does not provide student transportation to and from school for non-resident students.


 Age Requirements for Enrollment



A child may enter kindergarten if five years old on or before July 1 of the year of enrollment.  All kindergarten programs are full day.

Students enrolling in the first grade may enter if they are six years old on or before October 1 of the year of enrollment.  A student who is at least five years old on or before October 1 of the year of enrollment shall be permitted to enroll in first grade if the student attended at least 120 days of kindergarten in another state.

Proof of birth date will be required.

 Transportation



Transportation shall be furnished to all students, who live within designated transportation areas.  Adequate service, safety and efficient operation shall be the goals in the planning of school bus schedules, routes and stops.

The director of transportation shall be responsible for the development of these transportation plans which shall be subject to approval of the superintendent.
