These community partnerships enrich our community and maximize our students’ opportunities. Families have access to high-quality programs from cradle to career in Eaton. Partnerships with the Eaton Early Learning Center , the Boys & Girls Club , the Eaton Recreation District , the Poudre Learning Center , and the Eaton Public Library ensure our students have access to high-quality programming before, during and after school! The Eaton RE-2 School District encompasses the towns of Eaton and Galeton in central Weld County. Galeton is located 7 miles east of Eaton. It is a school-centered community that takes pride in their schools. Eaton school district serves around 1990 students in five schools, three elementary, one middle, and one high school. Eaton Elementary serves 411 students in kindergarten through fifth grade, Benjamin Eaton Elementary serves 395 in kindergarten through fifth grade, and Galeton Elementary serves 130 students on the eastern side of the district in preschool through fifth. Eaton Middle school hosts 485 students in sixth, seventh, and eight grades and Eaton High School serves 580 students from ninth to twelfth grade.


Eaton and Galeton are a short drive north of Greeley and east of Fort Collins, Colorado. Primarily an agricultural community, Eaton retains its small town charm while attracting families that work in larger towns/cities. Our proximity to Denver and Rocky Mountain National Park provides our students access to high-quality museums, amenities, and events. We are within a short drive of four different colleges/universities, Aims Community College, Colorado State University, Front Range Community College, and the University of Northern Colorado.
