District Profile

"Our Business is Children!"

At Eaton School District we believe….
  • Our community is stronger when diverse individuals contribute.
  • Everyone deserves the opportunity to achieve to their individual potential.
  • The primary responsibility for every child’s well-being begins at home. The highest quality education depends upon school community partnerships.
  • Learning is a lifelong process.
These community partnerships enrich our community and maximize our students’ opportunities. Families have access to high-quality programs from cradle to career in Eaton. Partnerships with the Eaton Early Learning Center, the Boys & Girls Club, the Eaton Recreation District, the Poudre Learning Center, and the Eaton Public Library ensure our students have access to high-quality programming before, during and after school! Eaton school district serves around 1900 students in five schools, three elementary, one middle, and one high school. Eaton Elementary serves 380 students in kindergarten through second grade, Benjamin Eaton Elementary serves 385 in third through fifth grades, and Galeton Elementary serves 130 students on the eastern side of the district in kindergarten through fifth. Eaton Middle school hosts 470 students in sixth, seventh, and eight grades and Eaton High School serves 530 students from ninth to twelfth grade.

Eaton is a short drive north of Greeley and west of Fort Collins, Colorado. Primarily an agricultural community, Eaton retains its small town charm while attracting families that work in larger towns/cities. Our proximity to Denver and Rocky Mountain National Park provides our students access to high-quality museums, amenities, and events. We are within a short drive of four different colleges/universities, Aims Community College, Colorado State University, Front Range Community College, and the University of Northern Colorado.
