2026 Mill Levy Override Information
Eaton School District has a strong tradition of excellence, but is falling behind neighboring districts in critical areas. The district has the lowest teacher salaries among nearby districts and limited Career & Technical Education (CTE) Programs for students. With the passing of 3.0 mils, the district will be able to fund: 1) Staff Compensation, Retention, and Recruitment, 2) CTE and Career Pathways, and 3) Safety and Security.
By investing in our schools with 3.0 mils, the district will strengthen both education and our local economy. Eaton staff live, work, and raise their families here; they spend their paychecks in our local businesses. They are our neighbors, fellow parishioners, and friends.
The MLO will generate approximately $3,686,000 annually to increase starting teacher compensation by $7,000, raising it to $55,500 (all other staff by 14%), produce $600,000 annually for CTE and career-connected pathways, and provide up to $86,000 for SROs and district safety and security personnel training.
