Welcome Eaton Reds: 2025-2026 School Year
Raising academic outcomes, improve communication, build character in our students and provide a joyful and safe learning environment for Eaton Reds; these are just a few of the goals for the 2025-2026 school year. Our superintendent, Todd Cordrey, explains how we'll do it TOGETHER.
Welcome Back, Eaton Families and Community Members!
I’ve chosen to begin this school year with a few lyrics from The Beatles because their song “Here Comes the Sun” perfectly captures the spirit of renewal, joy, and hope. These feelings stay with me as I start my first year as superintendent in this incredible community. One of the best parts of being an educator is that we get to celebrate two New Years. While a new school year brings excitement and hope, I also recognize that each family and student has their own unique life experience. That’s why those familiar lyrics, “Little darling, it’s been a long, cold, lonely winter… but the smiles are returning to the faces,” resonate so deeply. There is no greater joy than on the first and last days of each school year. The sunrise on the first day of school marks the start of a new chapter for every student and teacher, and I’m eager to be part of it.
This is a town built on pride, resilience, and heart, where students are known, supported, and encouraged to succeed. My main goal is to learn and understand the Eaton way. To do this, I’ll hold one-on-one meetings with families, students, and community members throughout the fall, using a simple SWOT (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats) framework to listen and gather insights from your perspectives.
If you are interested in having a conversation, I would sincerely appreciate the opportunity to connect with you. Feel free to email me directly to set up a meeting or start by filling out this brief SWOT Survey.
Together, we will build on the district’s strong foundation and continue fostering a culture of excellence, care, and opportunity for every Eaton student. “Here comes the sun, and I say—it’s all right.”
Thank you for the warm welcome. I am honored to serve this community and look forward to the achievements we will accomplish together.
With appreciation and enthusiasm,
Todd Cordrey
